We had a fantastic weekend staying at Dale View! Jo is a great, friendly host who had lots of recommendations for things to do in the area and cooks an incredible full English breakfast 😋 The room was clean and spacious, well equipped and we had a great night’s sleep. We even had fantastic views of the mountains and the sea! Dale View was a great base to explore both the coast and the lakes, it really is the best of both worlds! It is such good value for money and we would 100% stay again! Thank you for a wonderful stay Jo!

This b and b. Wow can i say anymore about it, if not the best iv stayed in. The host is fantastic the breakfast options are great. The beds were fantastic. The host has laid a little book out with everything to do locally. So helpfull. Four in the bed winner. I dont say this offtern but i would definitely come back here. Rooms: The room we stayed in was 2 single bed, but wow there were so comfy i was out like a light. Nearby activities: We have only come to walk up scafell from the wasdale side. This is a point to note as this side is 20 mins away the other side is over 1h Food & drinks: Food is incredible. Had contentail well waiting for my full english

We stayed at Jo's BnB for three nights and it was perfect. The beds and rooms were comfortable and Jo had thought of everything which might be needed for your stay. The breakfast was freshly cooked for us every morning - vegetarian and vegan options were also available. The surrounding area is beautiful and offers many options such as hiking, talking a walk or going to a museum. Jo has also provided awesome recommendations for our stay. We will surely be back one day to check out more of the beautiful Cumbrian coast.

Fabulous stay at this B&B run by the lovely Jo. With her warm welcome, she has created a homely place to stay with lovely bedrooms - everything has been so well thought through and catered for. I stayed here with my son whilst walking Scarfell Pike - a great location for hiking and also close to the beach. Jo is a great host and provides a superb breakfast. Thank you! ps. And the gorgeous fluffy bathroom towels need a mention!

Lovely BnB . Friendly host. Amazing value. There isn't really restaurants in a walking distance, but about 5-10 drive away. There was a pub in a walking distance. Lovely countryside place. Would stay again.

Fantastic b+b with a wonderful owner in a beautiful part of the country. The rooms are spotless and exceptionally well provided for. Beds were soft and comfortable and the room was lovely and warm. Breakfast was incredible and overall Dale View is outstanding value for money.

This is an absolute gem of a B&B, the owner is really setting a super high standard. The house is gorgeous and has undergone a lot of renovation. The rooms are really clean and I have never seen such a well stocked hospitality tray!! There was also some really lovely touches in the end suite such as plasters, razors and nail files along with the shower gels. The breakfast was one of the nicest I've seen, a really good choice to cater for all. The owner is lovely and stopped to have a really good chat with us. If the other couple who were staying with us read this, hope you got up Scafell :) we will be staying here again...if we can get in...I can see this little gem being booked solid when word gets out!!

Lovely clean room, hospitality tray was so well thought out, as we're the extras in the bathroom. Had a great sleep, as its such a quiet location. And breakfast - oh my - it was wonderful. Cannot recommended highly enough. It 5* star. And the owner is a gem. Thanku for our stay. X Food & drinks: Breakfast was perfect.

Ridiculously good value for money, this place is perfect for anyone who wants to be located close to superb mountain walks, such as Scafell Pike, Wrynose Pass and Hardknott Pass. Jo, your host, practically rebuilt the cottage a couple of years ago - and she will happily show you the pictures of the resto, with a little commentary on the side. Our (twin) room was small, but cosy and well laid out. The ensuite (ish) bathroom contained a nice deep bath, with plenty of hot water on tap. There were numerous thoughtful inclusions everywhere we looked, from shower caps to bath robes and everything in between. Jo is also not particularly worried about coming and going for those staying more than 1 day. Breakfast was another highlight, and included in that low price. Evening meals are catered for by local eateries within a short stroll of the property. My suggestion? Get in there, quick, before Jo realises she can put up her prices... Oh, and the WiFi was excellent too.

Great little hidden gem in the area. Small attention to detail in every room. Wonderful hostess, Jo! Breakfast was also fabulous! Highly recommended B and B with great views!
